It just occurred to me, as I sit here trying to figure out how to get a plaster to stay on the top of my thumb (how DO you manage that?) that I have been even more accident-prone than usual lately. As a child I was reknowned for my ability to fall over/off/down anything in my vicinity with an added knack for cutting myself on any vaguely sharp implement left unattended for more that 30 seconds.
Most children do this I'm sure. However I'm sure most people actually grow out of it at some point. Not me!

In just the last week i have managed to -

Stand on glass in bare feet at Thesme's party.
Cut heels on shoes I had forgotten were Heel Destroyers.
Be tripped by New Shoes of Evil, losing much of the skin off one knee & shin.
Almost slice off top of thumb cutting potatoes, leading to much bleeding over the kitchen.

I had to buy more plasters this morning. I'm hoping particular run of self-destruction in tiny phases ends soon. Also, it hurts!

I share your thumb pain. Not good.

Also. The blame squarely lies with the Shoes of EVIL, and not you. You are absolved completely!!

Ha! I have always been accident prone and I always will be. Nothing will ever change, apart from the growing number of scars. I want to be glamorous and sophisticated but that is hard to do, falling down stairs, tripping on the pavement, damaging clothing........etc etc.......It is all a conspiracy I tell you!

However I am practiced in falling over but never spilling my coffee........

I send thoughts your way to give you a break from these things!

You have jinxed shoes. They jinxed your feet. And your thumb.

Put one plaster over the top, then wrap another around the thumb, to hold the first one on.
