Hmm. In work for 20 minutes and already am bored. Tho I do have an exciting meeting about data cleansing to look foward to in about 10 minutes. Yay.

Finally got hold of the scarifier thingy for the lawn last night, and got to see baby Jim Jnr too, who is very cute and blond and tiny.

The scarifier was great - in fact much more fun than one should really be allowed to have in the garden with anything electrical. Now all the nasty dead moss and grass are gone and I have, well, a rather patchy lawn, but the grass seed should take care of that - and fairly quickly at the rate it's been growing lately.

And... thats about it really. The rest of the evening was spent watching Lost while stabbing things on the mud then trying to figure out what to spend xp on. I need a new goal there I think; maybe I should take up a musical instrument or something. Or learn to steal so I never have to buy scumble again ;)

I really don't like bees as a fighting spell, it's 200+ GP (As you have to vine your target else they run away) and takes forever. If you're grouped with anyone good, the target will be dead by the time you hit, probably by the time you finish vines.

Then you've got the GP regen on top of that, so after a couple of fights, you'll be wasted.

It just seems easier to me to rely on force of iron, as ever.

Yeah I rarely use it when grouped, only on my own really as an extra aid to the stabbage ;) And the gp regen sucks.
In groups I stick to stab and much mocking - which also eats the gps, but not quite so much, plus there are the language tms. I'm still trying to work things out in the Brave New Post-Aug 3rd World, but I'm getting there ;)

I've never really got the hang of writing mocks, or much squinting beyond scathe, really (I still don't even have squinch, as it's such a bloody pain to find the caravan). I've got an alias button to launch specials, though, and a targetting trigger (When my pisspoor excuse for a mud client doesn't randomly change the code for it to break it). A knife through the head works most of the time, and scathing anything that dares to block or dodge disposes of most of the rest.

Must learn squinch. I can see myself enjoying it a lot.

I came in after 3/8, so I've never had to relearn how to fight

I have the squinch/scathe combined one which seems pretty good, plus the added glee of killing things with your brain (well, knocking off the last 100/200 hp at just the right moment). Comes in handy when combat breaks too.
I could probably teach you squinch if you can't be bothered looking for the caravan.

Post aug-3rd isn't so much relearning how, it's just so much harder! I could kill so much before that I'm only starting to manage again now. And discovering little things like you need a ton of tactics to get past the iron ;)

I think I still need to get the skills for it (200 of something, I'm AFM at work :( ) but that would be very much appreciated :)

(Incidentally, the code that wotsername in Genua uses to upgrade boys into girls is their code, with the descriptions changed. Using goto to get there is the only time I've ever seen the caravan.)

I hadn't thought of it for broken combat, but it's hugely useful as a finisher - when I'm grouped with Trauma, I'll usually get the killing blow through that. Plus it's somewhat more useful against trolls, which she likes to attack...

And yes, I have mock inform turned on, so I've seen them quite a lot :)

I'm going to give up on my floater some time, and just stick to dodge - I lost my Force Orb somewhere, and my last floater got lost the (thirty seconds) I spent playing CTF (An experience I intend _never_ to repeat - laggy and even more random and outpowerred than the time I was a real PK). Plus I like being able to, y'know, strike, in combat.

I actually lost my floater in AM the other night and took about 20 minutes to notice, which is good. Mind you I'd last seconds in klk against the soldiers with out it ;)

Which is the Genua witch anyway? Is that Blithesome? I'd imagine she is mostly a copy (so long since I've looked at witch code), much like Ogg-san is largely a bizarre nanny/granny hybrid ;p
No idea what the skills are for squinch but when you get them, let me know, one you've that I can probably teach you the combo one (which I got from Quece).

I REALLY will have to write some new mocks. Tho I ain't in the habit anymore o' talkin' like this, so I reckon I needs to get some practice in. Lawks. And suchlike.

Mocking is a great asset to a group tho, it's worth a go - I can get up to 50 extra bps on people's dagger/dodge (tho it's not always that much I think), which is handy I'm told ;) Spammy as hell tho, but you get used to that and again, language tms are nice).

Most of my mocks were written YEARS ago, but they still work so I've never bothered redoing them. I really should, if only for the sakes of the poor souls who have the informs on ;p
