So, the Mother is on her way. The downstairs is all Clean and Tidy, as is the bathroom, there are fresh sheets etc on the bed in the spare room. Dishwasher is on, as is washing machine and Things For Dinner are all chopped and ready to go (garlic potates and stir-fried veg).

Plus I have posh, Grown Up leather sofas.

I think, this time, I might Win at being a Proper Daughter. At least til she sneaks her way into my room, which is still its usual Chaos. But then she can't have it all her way - and she'd be disappointed if she did I reckon ;p

it went very well and she was greatly impressed with the sofas, tho she did find the Cupboard of Hidden Shame in the kitchen this morning, I think she actually enjoyed having been proved right yet again AND getting a chance to hoke it all out :p

Of course she did, cos she couldn't get to the bedroom! she even got up early to do it before I got up so I couldn't stop her ;p

Even *I* don't know what exactly was in that cupboard. I guess I never will now!
