So the pub running is apparently all going GREAT, he's loving it.
Living there not so much, because the place is allegedly haunted (they even had 'most haunted' types in a while back). Recieved the following text this morning...

"I need help with ghosts. 2 wine bottles off shelves monday with no-one around and last night a candle upstairs moved from tv and placed upright in middle of floor. Help!"

Any ideas?

Ah. He got thrown out by them for being drunk, so he's not sure how they got on ;p
The advice he'd appreciate I reckon. Mostly I'd say it's 'how to get over it making you twitch'

How to get over it? Whenever I've been freaked out in a place I feel more comfortable if I talk out loud to the supposed ghosts (whether or not haunting/ghosts is real - as far as I'm concerned I could just be talking to the parts of my brain that want to go BOO) I calm down. So he should talk to them. But not so much when people are around, otherwise he'll look like a CRAEZY MANN

Yeah I've done that before, it does help calm the twitching down. And yes, probably best to keep it to when there is no-one else about ;p

Yeah, I would go for trying to talk to them too, while also seeing if there's a more down-to-earth answer to the mystery (identifying any potential mortal culprits, and setting honey-traps to try to catch them in the act).

If the lore is to be believed though, they'd probably be best approached with assertion, but also respect.

He's going to go with just talking to them for now. Apparently they always act up a bit when someone new moves in, but it's never anything nasty/malicious, just playing tricks.

Ours just used to move stuff. Annoying but not dangerous.

I remembering studying and going to get a glass of water - empty room. Came back, the papers were gone.
