Feb. 17th, 2005 01:42 pmSo a couple of days of normality, then tomorrow, Febmeet. I am a bit thrown by this because in my head it was next weekend so i am very unprepared!
Also that fact taht most of the people I usually spend the weekend with won't be there this time isn't exactly inspiring me to go... however there are people i do want to see, so yay!
what time are you guys all arriving btw?
In other news, today has been hectic. Huge traffic jams in the morning meaning that despite leaving much earlier than usual, i was still late for a 10 oclock meeting, when went on til lunchtime. It was all about our fancy new webmapping GIS thingy, which I understand very little about... we were all supposed to be providing feedback from our respective depts, but of course none of the bastards here have even bothered looking at it, never mind giving me feedback, despite my hounding them all regularly, so I had bugger all to say (as usual).
However I do have the rather grim satisfaction of emailing the whole dept this afternoon to say that our current mapping system (which they are heavily dependant on) will be gone in 6 months so if they don't get their arses in gear and start testing the new version, they're going to be a bit fux0red when they are landed the finished thing and HAVE to use it, having had no input into its development.
sux2bthem.
Now I just have to figure out a polite way to word that ;)
