More Adventures In Babysitting
Feb. 15th, 2005 10:56 amLast night wasn't so bad! Picked Leo up and took him to my house to feed cats, which he seemed rather unsure about at first, but for some unknown toddler reason he found the sight of them eating hilarious.
Got home to find Mum had kids dinner ready (yay) and Ollie in huge fit because the dog had just chewed thro' his spare x-box lead - while he was playing (haha). Pointing out that if he'd taked the dog out to play in the back garden like he was told to, he wouldn't have been able to chew the lead didn't seem to help much :p
One up for the dog I'd say ;) After dinner they both messed about a bit til it was bath time for Leo then bed time, which all went surprising well, with only one huge screaming fit, so that was good.
Getting Ollie into the bath and then bed was trickier, but at least I got out of having to play Yugi0 with him - which, since he doesn't really understand it and I've never played, was quite a relief.
Took Toby the Destroyer of X-boxes for a much deserved walk once both kids were in bed, while mum did sorting out of clothes etc. I have no idea how people manage this single handedly, it all has to be far too organsied for me! I have enough trouble finding clean (or clean enough ;p) clothes for myself to wear every day, never mind for other people too!
Leo only got up once in the night (this time at 2, not so bad) and then slept til 7, which is apparently good.
Somehow actually managed to get up sort both of them out while mum made breakfast and we got out the door in time! The only sufferer was poor toby who didn't get much of a morning romp.
I am quite impressed tho that I had Leo in creche for 8.30. Everyone at work was hugely surprised when i showed up at 9 :p
Now just have to stay awake til lunch time...
