So, a day of walking through a frozen field bent almost double has left me ACHING.
Still it was great to do some actual poking in the mud archaeology again instead of being stuck in here adding things someone else has done onto a database. Found a few hollow scrapers and a lot of worked flint, but nothing to compare to some of the arrowheads and scrapers the farmer has found in the past alas.
Thanks to much inefficiency in setting out the grids etc, we only covered about half the field and apparently not the part where most of the finds turned up before, so we get to go again sometime soon.
Maybe this time I'll find an arrowhead!
Also somehow managed to get away with not getting to work til 10.20 when I was supposed to be in a meeting at 10. Not sure how exactly ;p
In other news, well, there isn't any really.
Another quiet weekend ahead, hurrah. More champagne may be in order.
