(no subject)

Very sleepy today. Made it til nearly 3 I think with election coverage, but since its a school night, had to give in. Plus listening to Tony Blair et al go on again and again about their 'historic 3rd term' was getting very irritating.

I get to do it all again this evening for our votes, which for some reason aren't counted til today. They're expecting the first results sometime this afternoon.

Overall it doesn't seem a bad result - Tony somewhat desmuginated, Lib dems doing well, Kilroy-Silk barely making his deposit. Some scary results tho - Galloway got in and there were some worrying gains for the BNP. There's a lot of xenophobia about there somewhere.

Tho God knows what we'll elect so I can't really talk...

GNAHH

SEVEN HOURS of counting and still not one fucking result. At that rate in the rest of the UK it would have been after 5am without a result.

How long can it take? Seriously? And why they hell couldn't they start last night anyway? Why this stupid next day thing?

ARRR.

Also, work internet being very very slow and half the sites won't even open.

AHAH a result

Sinn Fein, which I image is Adams back in West Belfast.
bah :(

UPDATE... another hour and half goes by and still no more results. What the hell are they DOING?? Does the count team consist of one old bloke who left his glasses at home? I was going to suggest maybe they'd got some monkeys from the zoo, but even they' be quicker than this!

Update no.2 WOOHOO!! the stoops took s.belfast from the huns! A GOOD result for once! Looks like the UU were right about 'splitter spratt' he split their vote completely and the SDLP actually increased theirs slightly. AND the Rainbow nutters actually got MORE votes than the Workers Party.
I wish I still lived in S belfast...

ANd thats all from me, I'm off to pick the nephew up from creche and spend the weekend trying to keep him alive and unharmed. Poor child.
NI election results can be found at http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/vote2005/html/region_6.stm as they happen (but at this rate, it'll take til monday), if any of you are interested.
