Each player of this game starts off with 10 weird things/habits/little known facts about yourself. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 10 weird habits/things/little known facts as well as state this rule clearly. At the end you need to choose 10 people to be tagged and list their names. No tagbacks.
1. When I was little (3 or 4) I had not just an invisible friend, but a group of invisible friends. Who were baby dragons, called 'the noobs' (there is a tape of me talking about them somewhere). They lived in a big cave with a fire extinguisher on the wall and would come and sit on the end of my bed at night. I also thought that my dad's snoring was the fridge coming up the stairs to eat me. I was apparently an Odde Childe.
2. About the same age, I managed to lock myself in the toilet (old style house with seperate loo that had handle and lock at adult height) and Mum had to phone the fire brigade to get me out. I was INCREDIBLY disappointed when the fireman came in through the window and just unlocked the door instead of taking me down in the lifty thing, like in Trumpton.
3. When I was 10 I had chicken pox and scarlet fever at the same time. This was not fun (tho at least being feverish distracted from the itching). I was off school for a while and missed learning to do long division. I have never since mastered this arcane and bemusing art.
4. All I ever wanted for christmas/birthdays was a pony. Now I have one, I find it hard to think of anything I want when asked. Except mounties of course.
5. I prefer being barefoot to wearing anything on my feet. BUT this clashes with -
6. Not only can I not stand people touching my feet, I don't even like people LOOKING at my feet. Seriously, it creeps me out.
7. In a similar vein, I don't like uninvited touching of any sort really. Even random hugs are not always welcome. Hair stroking is RIGHT OUT. Personal space = MINE: Keep out.
8. I am odd about food (many of you know this from trying to feed me). I don't like eating anything if I don't know exactly what is in it. And sweetcorn IS evil, no matter what anyone says. Ditto coleslaw. EVIL.
9. I like living alone. I don't think this is odd personally, but a lot of other people seem to and assume I am desperate for company or lonely. I'm not. Having someone to make the tea/fetch things when I am ILL might be nice ;p but after more than 2 days in just about any company I am reaching Urge To Stab level if I can't escape for a breather on my own.
10. um. Really searching now...
I prefer even numbers to odd ones. I don't know why. But things should be even.
Tagging... um, who hasn't been tagged yet? It's been across a few f-lists so I'm not sure who has and hasn't been nominated already.
I'm not a fan of tagging really anyway.
ETA if you want to do it, and haven't been tagged by someone else, then consider yourself tagged, I just can't be bothered naming names ;p

Date: 2007-01-16 01:41 am (UTC)When I was little, my younger sister and I lived in deicious terror of a being called the Ghostly Triangle. It followed us when we were in the car, and we kept urging dad to drive faster, and squealing when we stopped at lights, because he might CATCH US. Fortunately, we had on our side an army of Little Ghosts, each of them barely above microscopic, who could band together into any shape or form and were with us everywhere and...
Did I mentioned I firmly believed I was a dog for a while when I was five?
