*headdesking*
Mar. 6th, 2007 12:58 pmSequence of events -
Laptop gets stolen from office.
Big Security Drive implemented (ie the remember we're supposed to have some).
Word goes round Friday that Secret Security Check is planned for sat, so everything must be locked up.
But! We have nowhere to put store the keys for now locked drawers so must bring them home.
Comments are made that this might not end well.
Monday arrive to work.
Go to open drawers. No keys.
Look in bag. NO keys
Recall bag-flinging-into-car moment at weekend when everything fell out.
Car is at home.
Think "Oh well."
Get home Monday evening. Promptly forget to look for keys.
Get train to work today. Remember keys.
Think "oh bugger it"
Remember also that timesheets/invoices that need to be in asap are in drawers.
Think "Oh fuck!".
Get lift back home at lunchtime.
Search car. No keys
Search bag incl. inner zippy pockets. No keys.
Search house. No keys
Search car again. Still no keys (lots and lots of crap tho. Must clean car out)
Begin to Despair.
Eat toast.
Ponder bringing crowbar back to office.
Got to get bag.
Suddenly notice small, normally purely-decorative pockets on front of bag.
Check. FIND KEYS.
Bang head off wall several times.
Post.
Right. Time to get back to work and enliven everyone's day with my tale of ineptitude and memory-loss!
