Much more awake today, which is good. Possibly due to having a surpise evening off horse last night and being able to sit about, read the paper, phone people and do little else.

Tho the evening did contain a few shocks - firstly discovering the houses in my street have gone up in value by about 60k in a couple of months *rolls about decadently in equity*, then narrowly missing being in a v. nasty traffic accident on the way to reclaim the blow up bed for the weekend [1]. It's not often you see a 4x4 go skidding across the road on its BUMPER (after running the lights and smashing into the car in front of me) before somersaulting and landing on the roof of another car. It's amazing no-one was killed.

Also seem to be being followed by hot tubs. They keep popping up everywhere, from horrorscopes to Grand Designs! The universe is obviously trying to tell me something. No idea what tho, but if it involves soaking in hot tubs, I'm all for it!

It was a real shock, but tea and chocolate at E.s helped (once everyone had recovered enough to move cars and I figured there was no point just hanging around staring and being in the way), then grand designs with added hot tub. They're EVERYWHERE!
Was very relieved to see in the news this morning no-one was killed tho.

He came charging thro red light, smashed into the car in the left hand lane, then the one in front of me, flipped over a couple of times, bounced off the traffic lights and landed ON THE ROOF of the car sat at the opposite side of the junction from where he'd started.
According to that news arcticle there was a motorbike in there soemwhere too, but I didn't see that...
