What would you say the animal in this statue is (clicky for larger)?




I said Griffin. Dragon was also suggested. Another (frankly loony) opinion was horse. Who was right?

Red cross on the shield? Dragon.
Plus, it's not a lion's body and eagle's head, so not a Griffin.

Maybe it's what horses look like when nobody's looking. They just put on the slightly bored/insane costume when people are about.
