Yesterday Thesme foolishly sent a text from Forn Parts to boast she could read lj comments to her journal on her phone. So I decided to test this and also find out just how long a comment could go - all in the name of science, you understand. It took me 2 goes (hit submit instead of preview the first time) but I got there - 4300 characters is the limit.
4300 characters of pure rambling drivel. Well, 8000 ish really, since it took 2 tries. Which she ran out of phone credit trying to read.
Meaning me = TEH WIN. hah!
It's amazing what you can find entertaining when you have nothing else to do ;p

Then I spent some time ordering lovely treats for myself from Lush and checking the progress of the Amazon order.

The question now is, what do I do to amuse myself today?

I'm quite jealous. I'd love to laze about the house today, reading comics. Instead I'm being bored in an office, with only the GL for company meaning no small talk at all to make the time pass. Pah!

I'm currently reading It's a Bird by Steven Seagle in graphic form. It's really really good, if you're looking for something a little different...

I think i might get a couple more volumes of Preacher, which is excellent. Some more lucifer too. Tho I'll look out for that one too, anything different is good to try ;)

I'm still trying to see what facebook's all about. I've searched for people with my surname - there's quite a lot! And they're all in Norway! I wonder how many people on facebook share your surname, eh?!

Heh, A Great Many I'd imagine ;p I wonder how many of them there are in Norway tho...

Careful tho, last time we talked about surnames, we ended up with Wingnut!

Oh god, yeah...

I think facebook has no point exactly - it's just a chatting place I guess with the walls and things - they call it a "social utility" and we have used it to set up things which people can say they are going to and things by creating a group.

It's quite fun and if you join networks you can do things like advertise things for sale, arrange meet ups etc.

Any hoo enough rambling about face book!

Hellison - Simpsons porn is the way forward for amusement today - if not closely follow it by learning to play blades of grass - A life long talent that I guarantee will get you out of a jam one day!

Yeah it does seem like it'd be handy for organising stuff and keeping in up with folk - a bit like LJ without all the actual blogging ;)
Looks like theres still plenty of fun stuff to explore on it too, so it'll keep me amused for a while longer!

too much effort - just get your office to employ 4 sandwich year students in 2 weeks - that works I think 2 of them are cute - ones a bit toffy and the other needs to move out of his mums!

See, that would be great but:

- my group used to have a bunch of geeks on the same floor as us, who got occasional cute summmer / sandwich year students
- someone thought it would be a good idea to move them upstairs, and put accounts and the IT guys on the same floor as us - they never get cute summer / sandwich year students.
