This has proved to be quite an exciting weekend so far.

thesme_01 came to visit Friday night, and we had a lovely evening of refined conversation, Art and Fine Wines - 2 whole glasses of Moet which went straight to my head and left me a giggling drunken heap. God knows what a pint of cider will do. I'll be such a cheap date when I'm back on my feet!
There was also a degree of railing against the cruelties of Fate and ranting about the Fat Kneed Idiots of the world. But mostly Art and Refined Conversation. And some cast decoration (see below).






Saturday dawned, but we were still fast asleep - actually, as we didn't go to bed til 4ish, it may well have dawned on us while still awake.
Sometime later, we did awaken and had a lovely phonecall with being_here, during which some more Fine Art was discussed, along with some historical debate over minor, but very important details.
Thesme eventually had to leave, but it was such a fine and sunny day, I actually got to go outside! For the first time in 3 weeks. In fact, if you don't count travelling and getting in/out of hospital, it's the first time I've got to just sit outside for FIVE weeks. So that was nice!
There were also many more visitors - an old friend called by with her little babby, the Sister came round with the kids and one of my many cousins also dropped in with her fiancee. A busy day all round.

Then it started to rain, so it was back to The Chair. However, emboldened by the success of the Moet the night before (ie the lack of falling over), I had not one, but two glasses of red wine! Which mostly just made me sleepy, but was very nice anyway.

Who knows what might happen today!! (probably mostly sitting and mudding. But, you never know...)

No, it was an entirely different old friend with a baby, who is from here and I've known since primary school!
