The new car is definitely growing on me. After some more driving and working out what a few more of the buttons too, I am liking it more and more.
Still haven't worked out what the Mystery Button that says 'set' on it and isn't mentioned in the Book anywhere does though. Someday soon I will press it and find out...

It is pretty responsive though, despite being automatic; sticking with the fully automatic mode rather than fiddling with the tiptrontic gears thing seems to work better, tho they are fun to play with every now and then.
Overtaking is fun too. VROOOM!

So yes, coming round to it ;p Tho what I really need is to take it for a good long drive somewhere, but that'll have to wait for a while yet I think. Stupid legs.

Also, I wish it would all heal up faster so 'going for a drive' isn't the most exciting thing thats happened to me all week. Someday I will have interesting things to do (and thus write about ;p) again.

Well, I googled skoda fabia "set button" and the first hit is about a different car and says So, pressing the SET button repeatedly to reduce in 1mph increments is definitely, so possibly you do, or it has the same console as another breed of car that does have cruise control.

Playtester - they're a group of players on the mud who're allowed at all the new stuff first to test/break/find typos/tear to pieces everything you put your heart and soul into before it goes into the game properly.

Beta testers, basically. A fine bunch who take a lovely code you were sure was PREFECT and STOMP all over your dreams ;p

to be fair, the mud would be a much buggier/crappier/typoed place without them, but don't tell them I said that...

Hey, I think it sounds lovely. So far this week I've had:

* a wedding
* my grandmother's funeral
* the cold of the century
* my car break down -> three hour bus journey to work -> getting to work after being away for three days at 11.30 -> almost not getting on the fecking bus because apparantly my account has no monies left
* no one having taken care of my mail for three days, leaving me with a stack of 16 cases to deal with

Now lunch. Then perhaps more whining.

Wow, that's a busy week. I do seem to be getting lazier and lazier as time goes by - actually getting back to work and a life is going to be a horrendous shock to the system!
