Finally!
The nice hospital lady finally rang - op is on wednesday, HURRAH!! Finally!
It's been a busy week really, I've been out and about more this week than I have in the last... several put together I think!
Tuesday, I went to work and actually did work rather than sit about chatting for half an hour. Afterwards, went on the Great Expedition to buy a pair of docs, which turn out to be far more difficult (getting to and from the shop that is) than I had expected, but I did it! Despite facing such obstacles as Bloody Big Steps, Really Heavy Doors, Wet Floors and Distance. Quite a Triumph really.
Wednesday, went for the meeting, which wasn't too excruciating and almost useful in places. Wed afternoon, escaped work and friend JA came for lunch. We went to a cafe, then a shop! Would have gone to more but we couldn't get parked near enough and the walk/hop to the cafe had knackered me.
So drove to the saddlery instead, bought horsey things and caught up on all the local horse gossip. A Good Day ;)
Thursday morning spent catching up on the work I didn't do Wed afternoon (working from home is handy!). Then friends T & M arrived from Dublin and we went off to the pub up the road for lunch. A Pub! First time I've been in one for months and I was driving ;p Still, had lovely lunch and it was good to get out. Maybe I can work up to going to the pub at night. And having a DRINK. Hmmm....
So all in all it's been a busy week - work, shopping, eating out, pub! More people should come visit me so I can Do Stuff like this. Visit!! NOW!
Today I aim mostly to sit here and not move much at all. And not think about how getting metal hoiked back out of my ankle will actually feel.
