Doctor this morning went well, despite the fact that because of fecking rush hour, it took an HOUR to make whats usually a 15 minute trip to get there.

Got xrayed and the screws still in are really quite big and funky looking, but apparently it's all healed up nicely, which is good to know.
Which means now, it's just lots of phsyio to get walking again, then once that is done, the podiatrist to see about getting the heel lift thingy so I am Level. Which will be weird.

Do have a slight case of RSD (need to remember this for the physio) and apparently the way round that is... lots and lots of physio and walking and things.

I have been doing more walking and putting weight on in the last few days and it seems the more I do, the less painful it is next time. I have a feeling I'm still not putting as much weight on it as the physio wants though, but no doubt will find that out tomorrow. Yay ;p

OTOH you're putting weight on it now - which is a big improvement

Some yes, but not as much as I think she'd like me too. Or in quite the right way. Hopefully will go twice a week for the next few weeks, that might get me somewhere!

I didn't get much more detail tbh, tho more than previously, possibly because the Dr (a totally different one from any I'd seen before) had a medical student with him too.

Told him about the short leg and he measured and said hmmm. Then he checked my hips for movement and said that's all good, but I will probably need a heel raise/insert thing and to see the podaitrist about that.

On the RSD he said yes, i do have a mild case of that but lots of physio and working teh foot should clear it up.

Um... showed me the xrays and said it has all healed up very nicely and that I really did break it good and proper. Also explained WHY i had the pins in that were took out (to keept it all in place to let the ligaments heal properly and not all loose, which I didn't know before!).
He also said the swelling might take a year to go properly. So i think i need to go shoe shopping ;p

Very important shoe shppping yes.

he said 'hmm' did he. What a mine of information.

So, all still on course, does that help the physio decide what to do with you(1) though?

(1) YOU MOOTANT

Well, other than saying she's right to refer me to the podiatrist, i'm not sure it helps her at all... He jsut said to tell her she could push me now (yikes).

He did say tho if there were still problems to go back to them, but i'm not really sure what good that would do! Have to go back in 3 months for another check up and that's about it from them really I think

Can't wait. Must remember to take painkillers too. Tho, for the last few days its been a lot less painful to hobble about on, so she is obviously right in making me do stuff ;)

It's getting used to it then, which is a good sign :)

*sends reminder to take painkillers*
