Physio etc

It's a busy day today!
Physio this morning, then home to pack for the weekend (yay!), get changed and come to work in time for the christmas dinner thing this afternoon!
Must TRY and be vaguely sensible as have to leave for the airport at 9 tomorrow...
Fairly short this week - checked progress on strength of the ankle and apparently it has improved quite a bit since last time, so yay! Have to keep doing the exercises tho.
Asked about the lovely back spasms and apparently it is all to do with walking slightly wonky and having to adjust for the short leg. But am NOT to go back to 2 crutches - instead, I just have to switch the one crutch over to the other side, which is awkward, but is at least not so painful.
Then she discovered that my calf was very tight and proceed to 'massage' it. That's what SHE called it, I'd have used 'cruel and excessive torure' myself. SO PAINFUL. At one point I yelled so loudly I think the whole place heard me. Oops ;p
After that was finally over, I got to demonstrate my new Walking With No Crutches At All prowess, which she was very impressed with and says it's all coming on well and I don't have to go back til Jan. Yay!
Tomorrow - going to see Mark Thomas with
malvino and
thipe in London! Hurrah (with many thanks to
tyrell for the pimping on that one! Are you around central london tomorrow evening at all?)!
Then spending the rest of the weekend in Reading drinking cider and having Refined Conversations about Fine Art and Literature and all the Great Issues of the Day. Or something like that anyway ;)
And now, Christmas Dinner. Early, which means there's a *chance* I might manage an early night...

Date: 2007-12-13 08:29 pm (UTC)i LOVE this. lovelovelove!
but this is actually my favourite part:
In fact, the news organisations could be guilty of organising unlawful demonstrations by asking MPs to speak, so I have reported them as well.
i think it's the tone of utter reasonability i like best.

Date: 2007-12-13 03:25 pm (UTC)Try. Try hard. When I'm not sensible BAD things happen on the way to the airport.
