Dec. 27th, 2007 11:35 amBack in work today - in body at least. Mind is still fast asleep somewhere else tho.
Christmas was mostly good - quiet and uneventful. AND I cooked dinner. Well, the non-meat parts anyway. And only for 3 people. The other 2 of whom seemed pleasantly surprised that it was not only edible but NICE. HAH!
Anyway. There was lots of roast dinners (I do not wish to see another roast potato for a Very Long Time), fine wines and presents. Not quite enough sleeping tho. And naturally my family decide to be at their noisiest and most sociable right in the middle of Dr bloody Who. However, I nobly refrained from stabbing anyone and all was well.
Yesterday, did some babysitting, which mostly meant playing with the kids toys, which was great. Also, since I am improving greatly in the crutchless-walking dept., I managed to pick up my niece and carry her when she was upset for the first time in many many months. Hurrah! AND they were both asleep by half 8. I rock at babysitting.
Then there was just the horror of Journeying With Cats to get home, but they weren't too bad (minor howling the whole way there, but not as bad as previously) and now we are all back where we should be. Tho right now where I think I really should be is BED. Woe.
Tonight, sofa, katy and SERENITY!

Date: 2008-01-02 12:31 pm (UTC)Take them to a New Year's Eve PArty and watch them boogie on down and flirt outrageously until 7am. Then drive home the next day, with the Party Cats crashed out and snoring.
Works like a charm
