Facebook asked to pull scabulous

They be takin' my scrabble! Tho at least I might stop getting hammered by Certain People ;p

Woe and waily!

ION um. Not much really. I have done very little lately but sit around, mud and practice getting on and off a step. Backwards is still tricky. A quiet life is not a bad one really.

I do enjoy pulling a good scab. The sort of itchy almost-but-not-quite pain is so good! SCABULOUS!

Oh noes! not cancelling my scrabulous. Then I can't be amazed at actually beating English-speakers in scrabble anymore :p

Not quite sure why but I seem to be better at Scrabble online, makes it easier for me to think up words somehow. So I'm sure you'll beat me soundly every time if we played an actual board game of scrabble

Plus can't you run a cheaty word finder app in the background?

So my FRIEND says anyway.

As long as it isn't specifically stated as being against the rules surely it can't be cheating?

OMG.

Actually, I saw the official Scrabble Dictionary for half price in the waterstones sale the other day!

As for rules, we used to play without a rule book and sort of guessed what was allowed. So we didn;t know you only got triple/double word scores *once*, and had VERY lax rules about words that were allowed. Basically, if it looked grammatically correct it was okay* - in one game we added to a start word and had 'exgropers' - it went over two triple word scores and got my sister more than 100 points. O.O

*for example besotee isn't a word. Ie, the person you are besotted with is your besotee. See?

Nono, I'm totally with you. In Swedish we don't make spaces between two words when you put them together, so for instance a donkey made out of mud wouldn't be a mud donkey but a muddonkey and thus is one ALLOWED word!!!

Unfortunately hubby is very STRICT with these things... we don't play much scrabble these days, it leads to strains!

I've only played Scrabble with Gareth a few times, mostly due to the fact that I tend to enjoy it more if I have the slightest chance of winning and he constantly outclassed me something hideous.

I might just be a TAD competetive at times ;)

Well mud donkey *isn't* a word, is it? I suppose if you're Swedish it may be...

Totally right about the strains with this sort of thing though! Me and my gf do the Guardian Crossword every lunchtime when we can - I once did a running tally of the number of words we had got, it became really really competitive!

Well, if a donkey is made of mud, what else could it be...?!?!?

Why is there a donkey made of mud?

Does this happen often in Sweden?

*confused*

Each year in northern Sweden, when the sun finally rises far enough above the horizon for it to be called 'dawn', the native Swedenians gather together the first mud from the first thaw and make a fully functional mud donkey with holes in. Then they bonk it.

The filthy perverts.

*is shocked*
