I was going to make a thoughtful and considered post about leg progress, but it is bloody sore and I can't be bothered. So instead, whining (with apologies to Thesme who has already had this via email).

I HATE MY LEG IT IS STUPID AND I WANT A NEW ONE.

Yesterday day? FINE. Lots of no crutch walking. All good. Am pleased. Goal of no crutch at febmeet may be achieveable!
Drive home. Try to get out of car at tesco OW OW OW STUCK OW.
Get shopping (ow), go home get shopping in house, make food etc (ow ow ow), try to do step exercises (ow ow OW) do exercise bike for 10 MINUTES.

Get off bike OW OW CAN’T WALK OW. Take nurofen plus (hmmmmm looovely codine). Lie on sofa. Foot no move. Sink into codine haze (apologies to anyone trying to get sense out of me online at the time).

Some HOURS later get up make tea OW OW WO BLOODY HELL OW WHERE IS CRUTCH CAN’T WALK OW.

*sulks*

WHY IS IT NOT BETTER?? How come I could walk round London with only minor aching but going to the bloody shop and back without a crutch leads to an entire evening of Pain and OW?

Also. Trying to have involved and complicated work related discussions over the phone while mid-codine haze is quite tricky. I think everyone ended up confused.

ANYWAY. Now I have whined excessively, how are you?

Well as much fun as it was getting the run around from (and possibly yelling) the drones at the first company, I would rather actually get what I paid for :P

Looks like they've found the printer, as another refund note just arrived in my email. So woohoo! :)

Silly question, but are you stretching before and after working the leg?

Yay for refunds!

most the working of the leg is mostly just walking so I don't really do stretching. I do before and after the exercise bike tho. The main problem seems to be the nerve damage, rather than muscles, which is why it goes into spasm and locks up (according to the Useless Doctor anyway). And the only way round that is painkillers and more walking. Yay.

Yay, indeed! I was starting to get a weeny bit worried about the ol' credit card.

Would massage help? Apart from the general 'ooh, mmm, ahh yeah' stuff from having one.

Rubbing it does seem to help a bit(hur hur hur, etc). Tho first I have to get my boot off and that can be tricky. To be fair, last night was the worst it's been in ages, hence the whinging, usually just putting it up for a while does the job. Dunno what I did to it yesterday!

Also, massage lackeys would be nice to have in general...
