Just realised I haven't updated all week, and no doubt you are all dying to know what thrilling adventures I've been having. It's been WILD.
Let me see...
Saturday, took the mother Shoe Shopping. Spotted gorgeous pair of shoe that almost EXACTLY matched dress I'm wearing to a wedding next weekend. Sadly, had wedge heels. Not v. big ones, so figured I'd at least try them on. They fitted perfectly. Looked lovely! But then I tried standing up and it all Went Wrong. Couldn't even straighten my leg. Then tried to take a step and OW OW NO OW. Woe. Damn leg. So bought random flat shoes instead because they were cute. Still need shoes for wedding (shoes bought previously to go with dress no longer fit on stupid foot).
Sunday - nephew's birthday party. Can't believe he is FOUR already. And obsessed with trains. Nice afternoon sitting in the sun eating cake.
Rest of The week - work. Rearranged desk monday morning and screen now more visible, hence less lj ;p Also quite busy.
After work - playing with Wii Fit, which is LOTS of fun. Don't know if it would work for everyone, but it stops the boredom that sets in with the bike (and i'll jog past that damn mii yet!). The balance stuff is also good for the ankle, tho I am very crap at it. Again much more fun than using the balance cushion thing, and also, because I'm focussing on the game, I'm NOT focussing on the wonky ankle and the hurt and doing much more than I would have otherwise.
So, so far, it's a win for me - the aerobic ones do work up quite a sweat, even if I did get completely halfway thro the step routine ;p
Today, off to the podiatrist to discuss the Heel Lift of ACHY DOOOM and see what she thinks about abandoning it for a bit. Must also chase physio referral.
See? A non-stop whirl of excitement here! And not a crustacean in sight.

Also - do cats try to join in exercise? Whenever I try any living room floor based exercise, my nosey and furry fuckers try to join in and render the exercise undoable.
