wii fittery, etc
Hurrah for long weekends! Having a great time so far doing not very much. Short bursts of housework interspersed with lots of lounging on sofa and/or bed. Have also been happily wii-fitting too tho, so don't feel quite so bad about the lazing!
Am having much fun with it so far, and even getting better at some of the yoga/muscle exercises.
One thing that's really noticible so far is the improvement in my wonky ankle.
When I started using it last week, tried the 3 minute jogging thing. The first few times I managed it (muchly out of breath too, oh dear...) but it was awkward, and painful. Yesterday I did the 3 minute one twice, with a break to do arm stretching in between to rest ankle. Today, I did it 3 times! which is nearly a 10 minute run! With breaks in between, but still ;p
Also managed the 6 minute hula hoop thing, but may have wanted to die after all that.
So, still very unfit, but improving and being forced to use ankle more is obviously helping it, definitely a win there I think ;)
Still suck hugely at the balance games tho. Stupid slalom!
Also, decided to take some basic measurements to see if it's 'toning up' claims will come true. May have got a bit carried away with the whole measuring.
You will, I'm sure, be Intrigued to learn that my left calf is 5cm smaller than my right one. Poor skinny leg :/ Tho after all this time, I'm not sure if that means I need to build the left muscle up more, or my right leg is just fat... Possibly a bit of both.
Also, having just been for a walk (go go Active Me!) ankle has swollen by... TWO cm!! Truly fascinating stuff. Will put measuring tape away now, honest.
And now, time for Raiders of the Lost Ark! Hurrah!
Are teh bbc showing all 3 in the run up to the new one? Cos that would rock. Must get the dvds sometime.

Boxing is fun, but hard work. I think I've just got onto the super-advanced level. It might be a while before I try it though :P

The reason I think this may be it, as I did it straight after kill yourself hula hoop and step, and failed after about 30 seconds. by which time breathing had changed.
The second time did about 2 mins, when breathing as well as sitting on arse was more stable.
Also i see no point to the little mozzie thing - that's just naughty!
Only had a go that day though as have been naughty and avoided wii fit since friday (read spent yesterday at pub in sun and now have sunburnt nose :()
Today I have been baking so now I have cookies, best get on it tomorrow to work off some of them I will be eating ;)
