HAPPY BIRTHDAY
moxy_bounce and
kimkali!
MB - sorry I couldn't make it over for the party, but from the sounds of it you all had a good night ;) Hope it all went well!
Kim - hoping you also had a good day and that this marks the start of a better phase
ION i have been having a very lazy weekend, after a busy start to the week, including the last minute flying visit to Edinburgh on tuesday. Once there, there was cider and a wonderful evening spent with
thesme_01,
fragglechick and
thipe, involving cider, wine, food, very odd waiters, Men Who Love Their Cars Too Much, and more. So much more. Horror and FISHY FISHY FISHY aside, it was lovely evening spent in very good company, well worth flying in for ;) The only shame is it can't be done more often.
The rest of the week was spent recovering from that, wrestling with cats and ear drops (bloody ear mites) and some fairly intense crappy work stuff that got sorted at the last minute and is thus now unimportant (tho was more than a touch stressful/irritating for a couple of days).
Friday was a very lovely evening, spent forgetting about work by relaxing in the sunshine on the patio, with cider and laptop (yay for technology!), admiring my new plants.
kelemvor, you'll be pleased to know they all seem to have taken well so far, must get some batteries sorted out for the camera and get some shots of it all. The catmint is also doing well on the windowsill ;)
Moar physio tomorrow and only a week to go til holiday! So this week will be mostly spent not packing.

We just had beers in teh hotel we were staying in then had food at, um, the bistro of another hotel. Where the waiters were LOONS. Great fun ;)

Then a bizarre dinner in the Parliament Hotel on Calton hill dontyerknow.
Then I had to take the train to Uphall the next day and it was RAINING and I was UNDER THE WEATHER.

I became "barely legal" in Canada (sent an application to extend, and whilst the application is outstanding one has "implied status" whilst a decision is outstanding, and decisions take at least 50 days... :D).
Oh and caught up on Dr Who.
I think... I really want to come back to the UK though. It's difficult to organise as there are loose ends here that need tying, and doing that remotely is tough. We'll see.
Evenings with CIDER sound fabulous. Holodays too! Woo!!!
