Bleh rain. Rainrainrainrain. I usually quite like rain, but this is a bit much... and no Indian Summer after all then.
ANYWAY. Last night I went to see Hellboy 2 with
_unhurt_, which was fun; not exactly a masterpiece of cinematic joy, or anywhere near as good as The Dark Knight, but a good silly romp.
Unhurt was less pleased due to being a fan of the actual comics and thus Offended by Inaccuracies and Charactarisation, but I trumped her with JUDGE DREDD (teh horror...) and Constantine (I don't care what they called the film, that was NOT John Constantine).
Upon returning home I remembered a wedding invite I have not yet RSVP'd to and got it out to do so, then noticed that for the first time in Years, it was an invite for me 'and guest'. Which threw me a little - usually I get them for just me, or for family weddings, with the mother (the Widow and the Spinster Daughter. Good band name?) - and now I'm tempted to bring someone, just on principle.
Except, I ain't got no-one to bring ;p No-one local really anyway - I have in the past just invited random single mates along for the craic, but I seem to have run out of those round here.
So, anyone fancy coming to a wedding with me at the end of october? I promise not to say I got you off the internet. Not very often anyway ;p

Date: 2008-09-03 12:34 pm (UTC)I could really do without this one, but can't get out of it. It'd be nice to have someone to go *with* for a change tho, rather than just tagging along with everyone else...

It was one of those culture clash moments. Y'know where Thesme is having a drink with her colleagues on a work trip to Spain and says 'You should come over some time' and Germans say 'ok' and everyone goes alalala and Thesme returns home to find email saying
Ve haff booked ze flights

Date: 2008-09-03 09:00 pm (UTC)Wordy McWORD. I don't even understand why TPTB decided to call it "Constantine." I would have accepted a ripping off the comic book's premise, with it being called something completely different - since it WAS.
I would also have accepted them not ever, EVER considering Keanu Reeves for the role. OMG.no subject
Date: 2008-09-03 09:13 pm (UTC)I mean, as it' s stands, it's not a bad film. It's just NOT John Constantine.
