So, mainly for the attention of [livejournal.com profile] gnillot, [livejournal.com profile] kimkali and [livejournal.com profile] being_here ;

The Talk Details are -

London Talk and Signing
Friday, 6:30pm, 31st October 2008
Old Theatre
London School of Economics
Houghton Street, WC2A 2AE

Have already (a whole week in advance, go me!) sorted out meeting up with [livejournal.com profile] malvino onna train, and Gnillot is meeting us at the theatre.
Which just leaves Kim and Being_here - I'll be leaving Reading at 4ish I reckon, and Paddington by about 5, hopefully to be at the theatre by 6 or so(thus allowing ample time for me to Walk Very Slowly and/or Get Lost along the way).

If you could let me know if you still are coming along (the whole thing is sold out and there is a waiting list for tickets, so I'd feel kinda mean about wasting one), and if so, where and when is easiest to hook up, that would be great. Then all we have to do is synchronise watches and chose the appropriate colour of carnation to wear!

ION it's been a busy yet uneventful week (ie nothing actually interesting enough to write about ;p).
Had 2nd riding lesson, which was less nerve wracking and thus much more fun than the first, even managed a decent canter with no flailing or panic.
Got my hair done so I look less like a frizzy badger.
Prodded various Cunning Things Drakkos is doing for the mud . Slept.
And that's about it really! Have a wedding to go to this weekend - never did find someone to go with, but should be fun anyway, as I have a New Dress and am even getting a Hair Do. It's all good really.

ps I just looked up the Bandit bike on google (it's a slow day here) and Oh. My. That's one shiny looking machine!

Yarr, I'm looking around for possible alternatives now, but it's an almost done deal.

Excellent! Is the plan still to keep the littler bike for work and the big one to go VROOOOOMING around the countryside on?

Pretty much, the commute won't benefit from a faster bike, and since I'm under £5/week on fuel at present I think it's the smart option. The Bigger bike will be for everything else.

There's still a chance I'll get the Intruder back, which would be fun for a while.

Woo, I thought the Intruder was gone for good. So you'd end up with 3 bikes? Nice start to a collection ;p

Of course you'd need a good long run somewhere on the new bike to test it out properly...

Oh yes, that's what I want a bigger bike for, anything over an hour isn't fun on a small one.

Yeah, I can imagine something you can comfortably cruise along on makes a big difference ;)

ah, of course, you can take passengers now (so you're like witch, only better ;p)

That definitely calls for a road trip!
