Sometimes you'd REALLY rather be right

The weekend has been been going pretty well. Sofa/cider friday night, down to see the family yesterday and today, making a start on clearing the kitchen, and more sofa.

Then I was reading this , about how four policemen were killed in a car crash here last night,and got to the point were some policitian or other came out with There won't be a single family in south Down who won't know one of those killed.
Meh. I thought. Typical ridiculously overblown pointless statement. Like *everyone* is going to know one of them.

Not long after the Mother rings to tell me one of them was my cousin's husband, Declan.


Hopefully your weekend is coming to a more cheeful conclusion!

Thanks, I didn't know him very well, but it must be a nightmare for my cousin and their kids.
