There is Man ripping apart the kitchen, it is GREAT. Lots of banging and hammering and smashing. BYE BYE CRAPPY OLD KITCHEN!

Only slight flaw now is that I can't get hold of the gas-fitter guy to get him to come do the pipes etc for new hob. WIll keep trying.

My day is going fine, nice and leisurely. I am looking at research grants, messing about with weather sites, and such. Later I will purchase a shiny new laptop for the office. Then I will make aubergine bake. Y'know, nice things.

am hungry now. may have to run to tescos for lunch and snacks and stuff

blergh. cramps like whao. RIVERS OF BLOOD. woe. brain non-functional, have trruble with co-ordination. should cancel driving lesson but have left it a bit late. wahhhhhh!

oh, ouch. My co-ordination goes to buggery too, it does make driving harder!

waaah! feel like total shit. just had to lie down on tiny sofa and doze. am having driving lesson then going HOME. where i will sleep and then play with baby rodents and sleep. *sniff*

Is it the granite one you're getting?

yes! but the granite doesn't come til next week, apparently once the cupboards are in, they come and make a template, then bring the granite a few days later.

probably after they have all defiled them in the workshop.

I've not seen that method of cleaning the cooker before. Are fishnets particularly good for getting off those really burned in stains?

I cunningly sneaked in a day in lieu yesterday and didn't get told off too much about it so it's all good so far. Work is insanely busy, so they are glad to have me back in the office ;)

Made the best soup ever (was even 100% vegetarian!) yesterday and am looking forward to eating another portion tonight.

Other than that? erm... nothing. Should start planning Christmas presents. I seem to have built up a reputation on the present-giving front and need to not let myself down... Oh, and I should figure out what to give Dad for his 65th birthday on the 18th.

yay for day in lieu! am enjoying the lazy day off today, but alas it is not in lieu of anything :/

I have Organised. Food shopped, done the FINAL FINAL christmas stuff, and even bought shiny metal trays to cook batches of stuff on.
