So tired. So very very tired.
This whole 2 day recovery time from drinking is just Not On. Tho, not getting home til 11 last night didn't help much either. Bits of New Years Eve keep slowly filtering back to me tho, which is amusing. The Katy still has it's Mind-Wiping powars obviously.

Am in work. Very few other people are. Normally there's 11 people in this room alone, and another 4 up on the mezzanine bit. Today, there's Me. And the Ticking Clock. Which may go out the bloody window soon.

Luckily there's a couple of people about upstairs to go for lunch with, so there's that. Just have to stay awake til then. I have already been out for a walk, called into my cousin's shop round the corner for a chat and popped into GAME to check out the sale (got the raving rabbids tv game. Also lego starwars and one for the DS), in a desperate attempt to stop falling alseep. it's not really working.

Also left the phone at home so i can't even pass the time badgering people with random texts ;p Thank god for email!

I think I might go see who's in upstairs for a chat. Or maybe do some work. Maybe.

What are the rest of you up to today?

We're now getting hassled by the new Liquids Finance Director or somesuch. Honestly, why do they think that we're more likely to find the answer if they throw more important people at us? Although I'm now comparing order lines with invoice lines, and the difference is scary!

In lieu of pub I walked with other colleagues to Claygate, and bought Nice Stuff (mint Poppets, plus a couple of boxes of Bendicks' chocolates). Sadly it's not hometime for another couple of hours :(

of course problems are MUCH easier solved once Important people shout about them!

I think everyone here is scarpering at 4. I'm certainly not staying on my own, so the end is in sight!

You've probably escaped by now, but I'm still here. My manager has issued a holding notice to the department concerned - in essence, we have been trying, but we won't find the solution today. In the mean time, I'm reduced to sucking great chunks of data out of the mainframe and into Access, because I can at least poke them there without causing problems!

Might have to make a Mint Julep tonight, if there's enough whisky left.
