(no subject)

Being back at work is kinda dull. Have many Little Things to be going on with, and can't seem to get started on any of them *shuffles files about*.

However, I have managed to get the train to work 2 days in a row this week, so that's a bit of win. Nearly made it 3 this morning but didn't due to various things, tho mostly sleeping in after mudding til nearly 2am. Which is all malvino's fault really.

Other than that, it's all quiet in hellison-land. Mostly recovering from christmas/new year and....

hmmm. got distracted in the middle of writing this by Work (damn them) and now I have no idea what I was going to say or what I was posting about.

how are you today?

[identity profile] thipe.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 12:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I am DYING in work.

Also now mentally mapping out Hellisonland, which I believe is a neighbouring land to Thesmington Valley.

[identity profile] hellison.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 12:12 pm (UTC)(link)
oooh ICON YAY!

I think you'll find the pleasant rolling hills of Hellisonland are nowhere near the murky damp swamp that is Thesmington Valley!

[identity profile] thipe.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 12:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Are they seperated by as stretch of stormy ocean?

What is the indigenous wildlife of Hellisonland? What dwells within the depths of its cidery lakes and acres of orchards (aside from mainly apples)?

[identity profile] being-here.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 12:43 pm (UTC)(link)
The indigenous wildlife is the tonker. Of course. Herds of them roam her grassy veldt.

[identity profile] thesme-01.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 12:44 pm (UTC)(link)
oh, yes and tonkers as well

crabs and tonkers

[identity profile] being-here.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 12:50 pm (UTC)(link)
The crabs arrived with the tonkers I believe.

A perfect example of ecology in action.

[identity profile] thipe.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 12:58 pm (UTC)(link)
On a raft, with the coconuts?

[identity profile] hellison.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 01:51 pm (UTC)(link)
...

CAMELS?

*peers around*

They must be stealth camels!

Ps there are no crabs!

[identity profile] thipe.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 02:29 pm (UTC)(link)
(in best David Attenborough voice) After their dangerous crossing from Thesmington Valley, the crabs briefly shake life into their claws before galloping across Hellisonland's verdant vales.

[identity profile] thesme-01.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 03:22 pm (UTC)(link)
IT'S NOT A DANGEROUS CROSSING! IT'S A LOVELY CROSSING!!!

[identity profile] thipe.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 03:45 pm (UTC)(link)
What, the wild and stormy oceans of the Thesllison Gap?

[identity profile] thipe.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 12:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Stalked by the dreaded pumas?

And naturally, there would be some orange groves near the subtropical coast

(so the dead man)

[identity profile] being-here.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 12:51 pm (UTC)(link)
How could it be anything else?

[identity profile] thipe.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 12:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooh, like those ones that eat coconuts, they climb up the orange trees and make off with the oranges!

[identity profile] hellison.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 01:54 pm (UTC)(link)
...

NO

NO CRABS

[identity profile] adelpha.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 02:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Valley, or Fjord?

[identity profile] lazy-hoor.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 12:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm grand. I'm intending to go swimming today! (My back hurts too much for the gym).

BTW I couldn't log on to that Times thing. When I signed up I had to click something and when I clicked it nothing happened. Huh.

[identity profile] hellison.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 12:14 pm (UTC)(link)
hmm. i was looking at it last night and i could go to your profile, so something worked! It took me a few goes to get into it the first time too.

Yay swimming! i have wii-fitted this week as well as the walk from train to work, so feeling quite virtuous (apart from today ;p)

[identity profile] lazy-hoor.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 12:15 pm (UTC)(link)
That's odd...

Will you send me the link again?

This week was a disaster cos I got into work and people had seen fit to buy me huge boxes of biscuits. I thought 'it's still Xmas til the 6th' so scoffed the lot. :(

Onwards and upwards though.

[identity profile] hellison.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 12:23 pm (UTC)(link)

tho hmm. I tried to get to your profile bit again and am getting 404 errors. Weird! It definitely worked last night.

A few biccies never hurt anyone! i am hoping the huge tin of roses behind me is now depleted enough to ignore!

[identity profile] hellison.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 12:24 pm (UTC)(link)
aha! i found you here (http://www.timeshealth.co.uk/memberpage.php?usertoview=lazy_hoor), so something worked!

[identity profile] kelemvor.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 12:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm waiting for the umpteenth (okay, sixth) A&P upload of the week to finish so that I can go and get Stuff for parcel-wrapping needs.

Have given up trying to contact Northern Bork by phone - will have to get up early on Saturday and go to the nearest branch (Kingston).

BUT! I did get up early enough to pack a nice lunch of minty lamb mayonnaise, hoi sin duck mayonnaise and Krisprolls! *omnomnom*

[identity profile] hellison.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 12:26 pm (UTC)(link)
ooh it is nearly lunchtime!

banks suck. They are mysteriously able to contact you in an instant when *they* want something, but never when you do...

[identity profile] kelemvor.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 01:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh gods yes.

Once when I was walking in Bristol with [livejournal.com profile] adelpha, I got a call from the bank's Indian call centre. He asked if it was a good time. I said that it wasn't because I was out for a walk. He continued to talk at me anyway!

[identity profile] being-here.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 12:44 pm (UTC)(link)
I am doing paperwork. And should start on the wash up. Having my dad here makes me productive. Dammit.

[identity profile] hellison.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 01:56 pm (UTC)(link)

[identity profile] being-here.livejournal.com 2009-01-07 02:26 pm (UTC)(link)
