Had a very pleasant evening last night (horrors on facebook aside), went to ride Ziggy then came home and had popcorn and fizzy wine. Happy Birthday to meee!

Gardener George also called and says he can come skim/paint the kitchen walls this week. Hurrah!

BUT. Now i have to pick a colour. HELP ME LJ! I was originally thinking creamish, but... the floor is cream and the tiles are cream and brown and would cream walls be all Too Much?

As a reminder, kitchen now looks like

with... about one and a half blank walls needing painted.

What colour would YOU pick, oh LJ?

I don't know! The more I look at colour, the more confused I get about names!

I was just looking at the Dulux website, and they have one called 'timeless'

which is actually magnolia ;p

If magnolia paint was based on this variety, I'd buy it LOTS. As it is, even the standard cream magnolia flowers are more vivid than any paint.

alas, no, it's your basic cream (http://www.dulux.co.uk/servlet/ColourSchemeHandler?name=timeless)

but... could look well with a very pale pink/rose shade on the back wall maybe?

Pale pink (what Dulux used to sell as "Rose White", and what I used to think of as "not enough dye in the batch") would probably do the trick.

Although next time I see you, ask about the Unfortunate Connotations of pink and brown...

Please don't let me know. I like pink and brown together. I'm knitting a scarf in those colours (chocolate brown and er... pink. Not a pale one). This pink: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mollydot/2548594626/in/set-72157594470242428/ And that brown, in fact.
