Teh car is leaking petrol and it looks like the kitchen roof is leaking in a couple of places. Well, more seeping than leaking but, still, MEH. George is going to reseal it all for me so hopefully that will fix it, as I helpfully discovered this morning the house insurance only covers accidental damage to contents, not fixtures/decoration. Will have to change that this evening too...

On the bright side, he is going to build me a new patio, tho this led to a bit of a standoff where he wanted to cover the whole of the lovely herb & flowers patch so lovingly created by [livejournal.com profile] kelemvor and [livejournal.com profile] adelpha last year, because he thinks it looks too messy (and to be fair, I haven't quite got round to weeding it yet this year). However I pointed out that it was MY bloody garden and if I wanted it there, it was staying there. I may let him extend the patio a bit into it, but not much.

Taking the car to the garage this afternoon and it is still under warranty, but the way today is going I have a feeling whatever is wrong won't be covered. BAH. etc.

According to the Naff Google Horroscope, however, "Today, the best you can do is to listen and acknowledge another person's feelings.".

So, beloved F-list, tell me your Feelings, and I shall Listen (well, read) And Acknowledge them!

*perpares Helpful Listening Face*

Fire away ;)

ETA I have decided that in order to Facilitate the Relation of Your Feelings and my Subsequent Acknowledgement Thereof comments will be screened, if you're happy to be unscreened say so! (also edited to fix fuck up with the italics ;p and really bad grammar)

1. omG HOW come the car is leaking petrol1!">? And why wouldn't it be covered under the warranty? Cars should definitely not leak petrol. *does not mention that Bora is not leaking petrol* > however, Bora does use 1 litre of oil every 1,000 km and they exclude this specifically under their warranty, bastards...

2. Kitchen roof. Is this a flat roof extension? It's probably just the felting getting old, does happen every ten years or so. George's sealing efforts should work.

3. I ALREADY mentioned how moist I was feeling. I think this is due to an over-production of mucus due to too many oranges, or not enough oranges not sure which. I would like you to acknowledge my mucus by having a good rub down there and assessing its quality.

4. AHAHAHAHAA UNSCREEN THIS COMMENT GO ON GO ON UNSCREEN UNSCREEN.

5. I managed to wipe out all mankind by dint of my new supermutant disease, Thesbola. Pandemic 2 = best game evar.

1. um, i think i hit a speed bump on sunday, may have cracked something? which is why it might not be covered (if they work that out ;p) Dunno. will see what they say when they check it out!

2. yeah the flat roof, he reckons he found where its leaking (the lead flashing bit has come away a bit), so he'll redo that, reseal the whole thing and put new stones down on top. It's the part over the electricity box that seems rotten I'm more worried about, but he's going to cover that with more felt and sealant and see how it goes...

3. you did? I only have LISTEN AND ACKNOWLEDGE, in fact the horrorscope specifially SAYS i should not try to fix the problems - "You may incorrectly believe that you must find a solution, while avoiding the problem itself. An alternative approach, however, is to open your heart and allow yourself to feel the dilemma without attempting to fix it. " . So i HEAR your problem and acknowledge that you have a very big problem. I hope that helps.

4. unscreened ;)

5. i looked at that last night but there were youtube instruction vidoes and i couldn't be arsed with that ;p

I shall try the game later then! I am not feeling ANYTHING of yours, i have ACKNOWLEDGED your problema and need do no more

Turns out the leak was caused by the fuel filter being v. corroded, which the mechanic said he'd never seen happen before! but, all under warranty and was fixed within an hour. So YAY for them!

I'm feeling somewhat betrayed by the many and various computer systems at work right now. Having tested network performance where I work, I find that at the site where my Lovingly Created Masterpieceā„¢, the network is really a notwork. A process that took a little under three minutes on Monday has taken a little over an hour so far, and I've just had to kill it Dead. I'm fairly sure that this is down to the network, as my PC and the user's have fairly similar specifications.

Looks like I'm going to have to learn about Access Replication and Synchronisation, boo!

Also, NOOOOO! George can't pave over your lovely herb garden! *Sporks him, after he's stopped the seeping in the kitchen*

Turns out that the network architecture means that while my test process was running from my machine to the comms room and back, the when the actual users try it, it's running from their office to the offsite data farm and back. Twice, for some of the processing!

Things in Pots can work, but not when you have lots of lovely soil to use. Also, whenever I see borders, I have to restrain an urge to plant beans in them...

I don't mind things in pots, but it does seem a waste of actual garden to just do that! I don't *want* a regimented ordered bed, I want nice smells, nice colours and a bit of chaos ;)
