lazy lazy sunday
Aren't they great? It's been another busy week, tho not quite as hectic as previous, still mostly trying to catch up at work, keep cats fed, horse sorted and get down to Mum's in the evenings. Tho, I did get wed and thursday evening off and stayed at home! Well, I say at home, wed. evening was up at the stables til nearly 9, went on a lovely hack and pottered about a fair bit sorting out feeds, shavings for stable etc.
Thursday I got to go back to the Crazy Podiatrist - while waiting, I heard him go through the 'what is a WALL' spiel with whoever he was with and may have had trouble supressing giggles. I had to bring my shoes along for Vetting , and luckily since I mostly wear flattish boots, they met with great approval. He was less keen on my riding boots, til I pointed out they were for, well, RIDING in, not walking ;p Then he looked at the pelvis x-ray and said 'yes, you are shorter on the left side' which... well. I TOLD him that, could have saved £50 ;p
Finally he made me 2 heel lifts - a 'starter' one to wear for a couple of weeks, then a thicker one to grauduate to. Once I have acclimatised to those, i will get orthotics for both feet! Lucky me!
After that it was home briefly to eat, change and go to Pilates. Finally finished and sat down on the sofa at about half 10 thursday evening. Yay!
Friday, work, horse, tescos, then down to the mother's, to drink cider and watch victorian supersizers on youtube with thipe. Saturday, similar, even got to ride the horse! then back to my own house with lovely katy and more supersizers. Also finally got oil in, so house was toasty warm.
Today, laaazy. Lie in, long hot bath, reading Unseen Academicals. But have also managed to get through some of the washing mountain, and cleaned the kitchen and made a start on the living room, so I can feel vituous while watching How Clean is Your House ;p Next... back off to the stables for a bit, in the sunshine, then hopefully back here for the evening, which would make it the first full day in the house for about two weeks.
What have you all been up to then? Am a bit behind on lj, and the internet in general!

Today I've been lazying about with a lie-in and then a nap in the afternoon. BUT managed to cook home-made gnocchi (it's made with potatoes and flour, so surely doesn't count as pasta? ;) and a creamy red pepper sauce and now I'm pleasantly full. Even managed to sneak in doing the laundry and ironing without it being a chore!

But also went to friends' house for dinner & saw their fantastic extension. So jealous of it. They had a cottage; it's now tripled in size! And another couple announced their engagement. Very good evening.
