hellisonfriends are I think now taking the place of the family - the extended family certainly.
I know I have friends who are as close to me as family and I regard them as just that. They are the people I turn to when it all goes wrong, and when it all goes right.
I can turn up on a doorstep at 2am in a nightmare, or at lunchtime with champagne and they take me in either way - and take no thanks for it, because its understood it works both ways and that I'd do the same for them.
People underestimate this until they need it, for good or bad, so for the guys reading this - for John and Bryony and the rest of you - and for the ones who'll never see it, but I think it should be recorded somewhere - you guys rock.
Without you I wouldn't be me. And I couldn't go on. And I hope my friendship is enough to repay you for yours.
