Over the last few days there has been a lot of utterly stupid/reactionary/knee jerk bollocks popping up all over fb/twitter and elsewhere. LJ & you lot on the other hand have been bastion of (relative) sanity, rational thought - asking how and why and in general not screaming for blood. Actually THINKING! Well Done!

My friends (i.e. you) are great, and (like many great people) don't appreciate themselves half as much as they deserve. So please (a) leave a comment and I will tell you something I like about you, and/or (b) feel free to reply to someone else's comment to tell them something you like about them.

I did compose a lovely comment in my head the other night about how much empathy and compassion you have for others and how far you'll go to help anyone that needs it, but it won't come out right now
