So, I was going to do the whole round up of the year thing. But I was perusing the bbc news first and came across possibly the best story I have ever read Scientists tickle animals to find laughter cues

Srsly, their entire job is TICKLING DIFFERENT ANIMALS to see if they laugh.

WARNING. Link contains not only a gorilla being tickled but also a video captioned Pygmy owl squeaks when tickled ; there was also one of a rat, but I didn't watch that ;p

That is painfully adorable. I wonder if they'd hire a psychologist - it's almost a real science, and we know about comedy and stuff... I'm being too hopeful, aren't I?
