Obsessions, and the like
Feb. 22nd, 2005 10:08 pmA conversation with Miv earlier about how I spend more time cleaning Ziggy's stable than I do my house got me thinking yet again how this isn't a hobby at all, it's an obsession - as people I was forcing to look at pictures at the weekend might already have realised ;)
I may not have time to shop for food for myself, but I make it to the tack shop every week for Ziggy's feeds. I begrudge half an hour to clear away the general bombsite that is my home, but spend an hour or so every night cleaning her stable; I probably spend more time preparing her feeds than I do cooking for myself. I will talk about her endlessly at the slightest provocation (tho I'll do that about most things :p)
And all this for a horse that isn't even mine...
Still as obsessions go, it's a fairly healthy one, gets me off the sofa and out in the open air. And 2 hours riding tonight seems to have seen off the last of the meet flu.
Now I just have to get my voice back.
ps to prove the point about the stable http://eatin.fotopic.net/p12096473.html. Tho that bed at the back wall should be straighter...

Mind you anyone who lets dogs run loose around horses is an idiot anyway, accidents waiting to happen and all that.
