hellisonWhy am I cursed with bosses who only remember Important Things that require Much Preparation the day before??
Every year we get the 2nd year students from Queen's down, show them what we do, how to use the SMR for their research etc. Every year.
And every year WITHOUT FAIL my boss would forget all about it til the day before. Last year however she performed a spectacular coup by organising it, not telling anyone, then promptly going on the sick, and hasn't come back yet.
This morning I get a call from her boss, who has taken over as mine too, to say that they're coming tomorrow and could I have a display of Stuff ("some maps and files and so on, you know the kind of things I'm sure, whatever you usually do for Annie") arranged and talk them through everything, they'll be here for two hours....
She gave them a lecture last week. If she'd told me then, that would have been nice. Also if she could remember what the lecture was about, so I could at least link in the 'display' to what they've already heard, that would have been nice too. But she CAN'T REMEMBER what she gave the lecture on.
Why am I cursed with these women? WHY?
