I've heard back from both Alan & Gav and am now offical Transporter Of Groomsmen To Wedding. I've given them the details and sent them off to buy foot passenger tickets (as there is only so far I will pander to their Norn Iron Man uselessness). Once they've done that, I'll sort out picking them up etc. I feel a bit like the Fairy Godmother in cinderella 'you SHALL go to the wedding!'
Tho alas I cannot wave a wand to produce their suits :p
In other news... not quite as stiff as I'd expected after yesterday's torture session (aka riding lesson), tho I suspect the true agony will only be revealed when I try to get back on this evening.
I've spent a bit of time looking up the a few of the various local party websites for the election and the only one thats even vaguely impressed me so far is Alliance. The stoops put me off with their 'womens charter' bollocks and the UUP are extremely vague on any policy other than Protecting The Union, possibly because they pretty much know they have voters and can't be bothered making the effort. Tho given their trouncing by the DUP in the last election you think they'd at least TRY.
Still it's helpful in collecting a few questions for the hapless door stoppers. Tho of course the only real one to ask the shinners is 'what is the point in wasting a first preference on you if you aren't going to bother taking the seat?' and possibly 'so were YOU in McGuinness's?'
