hellisonYay I have oil and thus HEAT in the house again. I can't believe it's been so cold - normally I have the heating turned off completely at this time of year. Last night, I had to light the fire it was so cold.
And oil has got Bloody Expensive.
On the plus side, I got most of the morning off work, spent happily stabbing my way round KLK. STABSTABSTABSTAB. Doesn't take much to keep me happy ;) Also picked up A Hat Full of Sky in Tescos for 3.70, which I am very much looking forward to getting stuck into tonight.
Council election votes are nearly all in,
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/vote2005/nicouncil/html/main.stm and probably more telling than the General election, since without the Assembly, the councils are mostly running the place.
The trend towards DUP and Sinn Fein still very obvious, but also some good things - Alliance got more seats and still hold the balance of power in Belfast City Council at least. The green party even managed to nab a couple of seats.
And David Ervine got his seat back, tho the other PUPs lost out. I have a big soft spot for Davey. He looks like everyones favourite uncle - albeit your ex-terrorist uncle, but at least he's *honest* about it and very committed to sorting out local issues and getting away from all the sectarian crap. It's a shame they didn't do better.
