Friday's Big Night Out was fun, with much drinking, followed by more drinking at home (which I only really know about because of empty cans and replies to comments I don't remember writing ;p).
Got a text from Ruth at some point saying she was thinking of coming up with Coralie on sat, but figured since they wouldn't be up til late afternoon, I'd have plenty of time to sleep off the hangover.

Ruth arriving was a godsend, as my sister in law was v. unwell, which meant my brother turned up at 10am with Leo and departed v. quickly to get to the hospital leaving me with the hangover from hell and a very freaked out toddler.

Luckily cats distracted him for most of the morning, but by the time R & C arrived I was running out of ways to amuse him that didn't involve lots of running around or shouting. There's only a couple of months between Leo and Coralie so after the inevitable MINE battles and a some juice flinging, they got on famously, chasing each other round trees and painting most of the path, some of the grass and each other a lovely white with some old paint and rollers I'd left outside. I think the highlight of Leo's day was finding a watering can full of rainwater which he promptly emptied over his head.

When Anthony came back about 9 to take him home to bed, he brought a v. nice bottle of champagne for us, which we promptly tucked into along with 2 bottles of wine Ruth had brought, popcorn and Buffy dvds, which finally got rid of the hangover (temporarily).

By some stroke of fortune, Cora slept til 10am on sunday morning so we were only mostly dead when she woke up. We very slowly managed to get breakfast and clothes assembled, and by lunchtime were just about human enough to go visit Karen, introduce Coralie to Shea and go AWWWW at the new baby. To give her a chance to get some food and sleep, we offered to take Shea out for a bit and headed off for lunch and shopping, where many people admired our little Aryan race starter kit(both babies are very blonde and blue eyed) and at least one woman was convinced they were twins and wouldn't believe they're not even related.
They spent the rest of the afternoon chasing each other about yelling BABA and QUACK QUACK and generally having a ball.
On the way home we called in at the stables so I could check up on Ziggy now she's back and Coralie could see the horses. For someone so tiny, she was completely unphased by the huge beasties. It's a shame I didn't have my camera, cos baby happily stroking enormous TB would have made a great kodak moment ;p
Got back home and collapsed on the sofa while she kept running around (where in god's name do they get all that energy from?) til bed time, then we watched more Buffy til it was bedtime for grown ups too. But without the wine this time.

So tired today ;p We might take Cora and Shea to the park this evening, give Karen another breather. Maybe even Leo too, give Emma a break as well.
What I REALLY want to do is go play with Ziggy, but there's not much I can do anyway til she gets shod, and stables and babies aren't generally a good mix. Besides after a weekend chasing small children about, I have no energy left for chasing a large horse.
