So sleepy. In fact so sleepy I haven't even the energy to be my usual extremely-grouchy-when-tired self :p

This may have been made worse by the bottle and a half of wine Ruthie and I polished off last night while watching more buffy. Also introduced her to Firefly, which she loved (naturally).
Can't WAIT for the film.

Went up to the stables after work, actually managed to catch zigs with no hassle at all - she's just too fat and lazy to run away :p Even Dessie thinks she's too fat, which has to be a first.
Gave her a quick check over and a brush up, she's in pretty good shape apart from the enormous grass belly, and has kept some muscle too, which will help. Her feet are pretty bad tho, so can't do too much til the farrier comes. I'll probably lunge her tomorrow night, see how she's going and remind her all about Work. Poor Ziggy ;p

Coralie was very impressed with the enormous horsie and even sat on her back briefly. They're heading back to Dublin this evening, so hopefully I can get an early - and unbroken - night's sleep. May even make it onto the mud.
It's been lovely having them to stay, but it would be even lovelier if I didn't have to go to work too ;p

Altho, surprisingly, I have actually been working this morning. Go me! Currently tho I'm mostly working at keeping my eyes open.

Firefly is awesome.
And coincidently, I've just been reading that very thing ;p Thankfully I'm not quite that much of an obsessive, only going as far as to make everyone who enters the house watch some (hi [livejournal.com profile] anavrinny).
It is very much worth watching tho. Also the movie, Serenity, is coming out soon (OMG SOON!) which is why it's popping up on a lot of ljs as we all go SQUEEEE over trailers ;)

It's a series by Joss Whedon which is basically the Wild West in Space, (settlers sent out to populate planets way way out from the main hub of civilisation) complete with horses, pistols and swearing in Mandarin.
Our Heros fly about between the planets in a Firefly spaceship (hence the name) doing a bit of smuggling, thieving, and having Assorted Adventures and it's compulsive viewing. Very strong characters, great dialogue, very atmospheric and with amazing amount of detail put into creating the world it's set in.
Fox cancelled it after the first series, leaving many many unanswered questions which the movie will hopefully address (eg who the hell IS book?).

Hmm. Thats probably a lot more than you needed. But I'm not obsessive. Oh no. Not at all.

Cool, I'll keep an eye out for it, sky like Joss Whedon :)

They still show it on sci-fi occasionally, otherwise beg/borrow/steal the dvds. If you can find someone prepared to lend out the precioussess
