Rain rain rain
Apr. 25th, 2006 10:03 amWhy does nobody like the rain? And why do people get SO paranoid about getting wet? You won't melt!
I nearly missed my train home yesterday waiting for a friend who was so panicked about it raining she was faffing about for ages trying to find a brolly or a spare coat, finally found a rain coat and went out into what was basically a very light shower very firmly zipped in and hooded like she was about to face a monsoon.
I imagine part of it is linked to the current mania for poker straight hair, but that leads to another rant entirely ;p
Ok, constant dreary downpours are no fun, but am I really the only one who doesn't mind getting a bit damp?
I LIKE summer rain showers. Especially the really quick, heavy ones that come out of nowhere and disappear again. Plus jumping in puddles is great fun ;)
ION, from Neil Gaiman's blog - I've never had a stalker, I'm glad to say, and am very happy for it to stay like that. I know a handful of authors who have had stalkers or unhinged fans hiding in their attics or whatever, though, so I think I'm either very lucky, or more likely, that I just have very nice fans
I sense a vacancy just BEGGING to be filled. And he's bound to have lovely roomy attics, stuffed full of books and comics and stuff. Heaven.

I could hardly believe it, I only found out just before I left for Uni this morning and I was so head in the clouds after that that I was almost flattened by a car several times O.o Plus I spent the rest of the day going insane and telling everyone I know XD So, while I might not have died from fangirl overload yet, I'm pretty darn close to it!
