In all the last minute 'trying to find somewhere to stay in wales for an indeterminate number of people this weekend' yesteray, I forgot to update on my exciting weekend!

Friday was very lovely. Picked up _unhurt_, while worrying about thesme_01 and her driving about solo with L-plates up when the place was crawling with cops for marching. Also bought chips.
Thesme arrived safely, along with Bigwig, who may just be the cutest kitten ever, and we had a very lovely evening, with deep conversation, meaningful discussions and fine champagnes. Four bottles of fine champagne if memory serves, along with some cider and wine.

The evening ended with a song to send Unhurt on her way (and for which I am still very very sorry), while myself and Thesme finished off the last of the fizz to celebrate the TRUENESS of our friendship (well it doesn't keep, you have to finish it once it's open).
There was, thankfully, no porn (despite SOME people's best efforts).

Saturday was a quiet day. A very quiet day. Of being very quiet and making no sudden movements. Didn't quite make the NI Air Guitar Championships, as that would have involved lack of quiet, a lot of movement, and other complex things, such as getting dressed. Opted instead for combination of sofa, junk food and mudding.
There was also (for those of you who like to follow these things) yet another Probably Dead Mouse, but I feel I dealt with this admirably by staying in bed while Thesme disposed of it. I am such a good hostess. And hey, at least this time she didn't have to bury a cat (that was Definitely Dead)!

Sunday saw the brief return of Thesme & Bigwig, visiting of BFF L. & new little baby, who is v. cute. After this there was Family Dinner, playing with small nephew and niece, also v. cute, then back home to prepare for the week ahead by sitting up too late mudding.

Yesterday - day spent trawling websites and phoning every holiday cottage in S. Wales, finally got one; evening spent mudding - am now just 2 levels off 300bp in tactics. Feel v. accomplished on both fronts.

ION bags on planes again! Which will make getting to pub in Wales much simpler. Hurrah!

and there was too porn. the girl on the kitchen counter! the very bored looking one!

(only tiny bags on planes though - and you can't put your toiletries in your hand luggages as they will contain "gels or liquids". sorry!)

Well I can't take it back with me, but some shower gel, shampoo and deodorant (I'm not sure if you're even allowed stick-type deodorant, as that could presumably be a COVER for BOOM liquids) would be handy if you could! Someone else can always take them home afterwards ;)

Typically really, I now have at home more Toilety products than I know what to do with and I still have to get MORE.

You coming down friday then? I can send you on directions to the cottage, tho I don't know how much parking there is - might be easier to park the car at the pub.

It's looking fairy-likely, though it depends on A) whether the person leaving for maternity wants to have a pub-leaving do and B) if I'm likely to dei of lack of sleep because of it.

Well Friday night could be relatively quiet, given that there are only a few of us. OTOH, given who those few are, I'd say chances of a long and full night's sleep are somewhat minimal ;p

I managed to play for about three hours without becoming dead, which is a good things these days :)

bp = bonus points

If you look at 'skills magic' you'll see 2 numbers eg

magic 10.... 12

The 1st number is your level in the skill, the 2nd is your 'bonus' which is how good you actually are - it is worked out in some arcane fashion that involves your stats, eg. someone with 18 int will have a higher bonus in magic at the same level than someone with 12 int.

There may also be wombles and upside down V's involved, or that could be guild level, but I recommend you ask dasquian to explain that. He does so love to do it :)

My current tactics (a fighting skill) level is 262, with 299 bonus. So 2 more levels should get me to 300, and then I can go advance something else for a bit. Probably thrown, for great beeing justice.

Flatline's skills site - http://skills.gothmudders.com has a v. handy bit which tells you which stats affect which skills and even has a funky calculator thingy where you can see how changing your stats would affect your bonus points. Doesn't seem to be working just now tho alas :/
