Feb. 26th, 2007 12:10 pmGood morning children! And how are we today?
I am actually, for a Monday, surprisingly alert and in good form. Possibly because it is actually sunny today, but mostly because of a great weekend of Relaxing and doing Very Little.
Saturday was particularly good - long lie-in, to finally catch up on sleep from febmeet, plus long phonecalls in bed. Then had a fit of productivity and not only tidied but WASHED kitchen & living room floors.
Thus had lovely clean room to relax in for Great Rugby-Watching Justice. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA WOOHOO!!
Jolly good show there. And the whole atmosophere, what with the Historicness and the total overhyping of the Anthem Issue in the press, was great. The winning was damn good too ;p
Missed a chunk of the first half tho when bloody Gardener George appeared to offer to do more expensively pretty things to the garden. I suspect his timing may have been deliberate so I would go 'sure, whatever, I will pay, just LET ME GO BACK IN' ;p Still he always does a good job and showed up bang on time this morning, so it'll be worth it in the end.
Sunday was similarly relaxed, with more sleeping, reading, Family Time, in which I redeemed some Good Daughter Points by bringing photos of grandchildren (having lost several earlier in the week when I forgot I was supposed to go down for dinner), ran around with small children and drank lots of tea.
Rounded off the evening with some very civilised stabbing on the mud.
And it is almost half way thro Monday already. Hurrah!
PS
_unhurt_ fancy going to see Hot Fuzz some evening soon?

Date: 2007-02-26 01:36 pm (UTC)I LOVE long Saturday lie-ins. I used to have mine with comics and tea. Possibly also crisps. I haven't had a decent one in AGES, so envy you slightly for that.
I also watched Rugby with a belfast boy (DB's mate) on Saturday. I still don't understand any of it, as his explanations were rushed, and intermittently interupted with yelling at telebox with Belfastian accent. But it was certainly fun to watch. The Irish blokes look like total bruisers, I don't think I'd want to spill any of their pints!
