Staples are out! Sort of snipped out rather than yanked with a staple remover tho :p

and I WALKED! Still with crutches and only to the kitchen and back, but I was walking, not hopping! Can't get my heel to the ground tho, calf muscle/tendons etc seem to have all seized up, so it's tiptoes for now.
It's only taken four months too ;p

But... WALKING!

Now all I have to do is find a shoe/sandal I can actually get on my foot.

It was the best feeling being able to walk after my foot, but I had the opposite problem of tendons and such being a little loose from my being bad and walking around in the cast, so on my first step my ankle almost collapsed :)

I found skate-boardy type shoes the most forgiving with my foot.

Oops ;p I was under strict orders to do no walking at all til the pins were out, so everything has seized up!

I have a lovely new pair of docs, which will be great for support, but first the swelling has to go down enough for my foot to fit IN them. For now, crocs, or the roboboot are the only things I can get on.
