How does your Garden grow?

Is there some sort of law about gardeners being Hot? Seriously...

You will have heard me mention Gardner George before, who is (as I think [livejournal.com profile] being_here can testify) not at all hard on the eyes. The guy who cuts Mum's lawns and Does Stuff just called too and, again, very... aesthtically pleasing. Both a bit on the skinny side, but you can't have everything ;p

Mum's gardner also seems to possess George's knack of turning up when I'm either hungover, still in pjs or wearing dossing about the house stuff (I'm am still convinced he thinks I'm some sort of alcho kept woman :p), damn them!

Anyone else have similarly attractive gardening types about (or do the rest of ye all be good and do it yourself?)? I am sure they do it on purpose to convince you to keep them coming back. I am pretty certain GG uses the power of Big Brown Eyes to keep talking me into spending lots and lots of money on Garden Beautifying - he's even painted the house now!

Still, it does look good, so it's a win all round really ;p

I don't have a gardener but you've given me cause to think about Dennis Haysbert in Far From Heaven. mmmmmmm.

Here's Dennis, not in Far From Heaven, but he's thinking about pruning my bushes I reckon.

ooh Yes, I think that's exactly what he wants to be doing.

My gardener is very fond of cocking. He keeps several cocks of his own. He tells me all about them and I have GREAT DEAL OF TROUBLE keeping a straight face.

It's nice that you share an interest though...

[identity profile] hellison.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 12:51 pm (UTC)(link)
But if you knew how I deplored cocking, and all that it leads to...

[identity profile] being-here.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 01:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Even when they meet each other slap for slap?

[identity profile] lazy-hoor.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 12:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh dear. Yeas, I can imagine.

How does one 'cock'?

[identity profile] hellison.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 12:50 pm (UTC)(link)
He keeps pet cocks roosters. Some of them are show cocks. At this point I usually remember something urgent indoors and have to run (well, hop) away very quickly.

[identity profile] lazy-hoor.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 12:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Does he have a large cock, do you know?

*innocent face*

[identity profile] being-here.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 01:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I understand it has impressive girth and a proud red head and is anxious to slap against other cocks...

Ah. Georgette Heyer. What a happy weekend we had quoting from her books...

I have a gardener. I keep him in my house. He has a nice bum. He can never leave. Ever.

he's a bit weird though

[identity profile] hellison.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 04:23 pm (UTC)(link)
See, my theory is proven!

[identity profile] thesme-01.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 04:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm. innteresting. I shall have to do some experiments to double test your hypothesis.

[identity profile] mollydot.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 02:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Lovely Man mows the lawn and does a bit of weeding. Does that count?

[identity profile] hellison.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd imagine so! Normally i do the grass cutting and even sometimes weeding myself, but obviously can't for now, so have george doing it all ;)

[identity profile] mollydot.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 04:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Then I has a sexxy gardner!

[identity profile] hellison.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 05:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Hurrah! Everyone should have one ;)

[identity profile] jin-shei.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 04:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I want a gardener.

*stares at the overgrownness*

[identity profile] hellison.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 04:25 pm (UTC)(link)
They're great to have! Normally I'd just have him doign stuff I can't, like top the trees and cut the hedge, but now he's grass cutting and has dug all the bed out for me and stuff, tis great ;p

[identity profile] jin-shei.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 04:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I want!

[identity profile] mivvvv.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 05:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I do the gardening therefore case proved

[identity profile] hellison.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 06:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Obviously ;p

[identity profile] kanaalzahir.livejournal.com 2007-11-07 09:23 am (UTC)(link)
The only person in my family to have a gardner was my gran. She had to give him lunch out on the garden because they couldn't let him the house because of The Smell.
