HAHAH [livejournal.com profile] _unhurt_ is reading Twilight. I am FILLED with glee. And waiting to find out if i really can hear her scream from across town...

ION - not much really. Had blissful weekend of lazing and pottering about the house/garden. Got the new Pterry book 'Nation' in tescos and spent a v. happy Sunday afternoon reading that. Good Stuff ;)

Work is dull, which is better than manically stressful, so can't really complain there.

Lobsters are afoot (aclaw?).

"Edward in the sunlight was shocking... His skin, white despite the faint flush from yesterday's hunting trip, literally sparkled, like thousands of tiny diamonds were embedded in the surface. He lay perfectly still in the grass, his shirt open over his sculpted, incandescent chest, his scintillating arms bare... A perfect statue, carved in some unknown stone, smooth like marble, glittering like crystal."

I am SO HAPPY now.

*Twitches violently*

Well, I’ve just finished “Hunter’s Moon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hunters-Moon-Gollancz-David-Devereux/dp/0575079851)”, which is a super-violent occult/SAS style thriller with lots of bondage, brainwashing, naughty occultness, a semi-sociopathic hero, naked ladies and ghosts hanging about in Kensal Green cemetery to “watch the goths shagging”. It wuz good.

ooh. that sounds GOOD.

Currently am reading 'the Magus' since, not long after you last pimped it, I actually discovered it in the 'books waiting to be read' pile. I don't even know how long it was in there (and have banned self from buying more books til I get through more of The Pile. Except 'Nation' obviously, cos that's pratchett).

The sparkling was what made me read Twilight, because I couldn't believe it was actually in there. They don't have fangs either.

The Magus rocks really, really hard, but you don’t realise how caught up in it you are until the end! I still need a 1st edition copy for the alternative ending…
